The authors of Queer Reads (QR) are Independent Information Professionals and members of the fantastic LGBTQIA community.
The bulk of this website/blog is a collaboration of research that we both individually performed whilst completing our degrees. The wide range of genre research was performed by Kristin Hatch, while Delaina Miller focused on Queer Fantasy & Science Fiction. Nonetheless, as the blog progresses both authors will share in its contributions.
The original goal of this website was to help librarians help LGBTQIA readers find books that they can enjoy and see themselves in, or relate to. However, because this is an open blog we understand that many of you that stumble across this blog are not librarians. We welcome you no matter what your profession.
Our main goal now is to help LBGTQIA readers connect to literature. If you enjoy reading then we hope we have helped you find some new books to read. If you do not enjoy reading we hope that our suggestions will help spark that passion within your soul.
